DESCRIPTION:Come along and help cut back the Himalayan Balsam on the residential boundary \n\n\n\n  \n \nHimalayan balsam is a tall growing annual\, 2-3m in height\, it’s a non native invasive plant which grows rapidly and spreads quickly smothering vegetation as it goes.Between June and October it produces clusters of purplish pink (or rarely white) helmet-shaped flowers.The flowers are followed by seed pods that open explosively when ripe spreading up to 800 seeds per plant which can remain viable for two years. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe walled Garden group will meet in the walled garden as usual from 10-12 to continue weeding the vegetable patches and serving tea and coffee during the day
