Volunteer Day 26/11/22

Come along to the woodland for the volunteer day this Saturday at 10am
The planned activities are :-

Walled Garden -meet at the walled garden at 10am

• Preparing growing areas within the old
  greenhouse bases.
• Collecting loose bricks for
  reuse.
• Clearing vegetation.
• Repositioning the IBC
• Mulching the yew hedge.

Opportunity to drink tea and have a natter and discuss the way forward

Lily Pond Project -meet at the mushroom carving on  the Castle Drive at 10am

This project is to reinstate the Lily Pond by
initially…

• Removing the rhododendron ponticum
  and coppice scrub willow up to 15m
  from pond edge.
• Removing all woody vegetation from
  within the pond

Castle Gardens -meet at the Castle Garden at 10am

Jobs will include clearing of brash and rubbish, general tidying up of the gardens.

Please bring gloves and wear suitable clothing.  Bring your own saws or  loppers if you have them.
