Volunteer Day 30/07/22

Come along to the woodland for the volunteer day this Saturday
Meet at 10am The planned activities are :-

Walled Garden
Meet Ross at the walled garden at 10am.

  • Preparing growing areas within the old greenhouse bases.
  • Collecting loose bricks for reuse.
  • Clearing vegetation.
  • Repositioning the IBC.
  • Installing tree Guards around the orchard trees.
  • Mulching the yew
  • hedge.

Opportunity to drink tea and have a natter and discuss the
way forward
Angus meet at Gillies Hill Garage entrance 10am

  • Help with drainage around the woodland
  • Clear out litter from the castle pond

Aldo meet at the Castle at 10am
Jobs include:

  • Cleaning stone for plinth for signage
  • Clearing out Hidden Pond (wellies required)

There are always plenty other jobs needing done, if anyone would like to help with them please contact woodland@ccdt.org.uk

  • Clearing Gillies Hill garage entrance new sign to be located here.
  • Pulling Himalayan Balsam from the back of Gillies Hill houses.
