Volunteer Day

Any Chance of a Bit of Help on Saturday 27^th November ‘21?

Saturday, 27th November is one of CCDT’s regular volunteer days.

If you could spare some time to help with a number of tasks including:

– Clearing and tidying up the walled garden
– Clearing rhododendrons at various locations and creating biodiverse habitat
– Clearing the castle pond overflows

In addition the “Froglife” folks will be there to inform about improving habitat for the froglike creatures.

If you can, please come along to:

The steel container next to the walled garden at 10:00 am

Please dress in old clothes, and sturdy footwear – it could be a bit muddy in places. Work gloves are recommended. Weather forecast is dry and sunny if a tad cold.

If clearing rhoddy is your thing, do bring your own loppers and a wood saw if possible.

There will be some spare tools for those that don’t have any.

You may also wish to bring some sustenance and something to drink. It will be a day for hot soup.

If you arrive later than 10 am, directions will be pinned to the steel container so you can find the work parties.
