New Community Forest Manager

The CCDT is pleased to announce that, following our advertisement and selection process, we have appointed our new Community Forest Manager, Amos Higgins. Amos is no stranger to the woods though he has been away working for a few years, but during his interview we were impressed by his enthusiasm and knowledge of the hill. He has some great experience to bring to the role now and we can’t wait for him to begin. His employment has been delayed by the current global pandemic but we hope that he will be able to take up the post early in June. I have included a link to the job description so this gives an outline of the work he will be getting involved in. His post is funded for 2 days a week for the next 2 years by the Scottish Land Fund and we hope this work will kick start a new phase in the community involvement on the hill. Please take time to read his introductory letter and if you want to get involved in work on the hill please get in touch so that we can get you organised.
