Dark Woods replanting

Firewood club is open for business
Firewood is again on the menu. Our wood has been seasoning all year and we have some which was split this time last year available for immediate sale. The price is unchanged at the moment so get your orders in as soon as possible. Come and pick up on a Thursday evening or most Saturday mornings. £6.00 per bag and we also offer local delivery at £5 for up to 12 bags. Members of the community are also welcome to come and join us to help with the log splitting and wood processing.
Fun Fungi
Autumn is upon us and you can see lots of exciting fungi growing throughout the woodland at the moment.
Establishment of CCDT Board
The new Board met for the first time on Tuesday 8th September to agree their roles for 2026/27. Ross Johnston will be Chair, Richard Norman will be treasurer and Ann Finlayson minute secretary. Three other CCDT members were appointed as additional trustees – Stewart Lennon, Steven Burgess and Ingrid Neville.

Last Friday of the month, Coffee morning at the community centre 10:30am until 12.
Walled garden volunteer day, Saturday 3rd October 10am until 12noon.
