A huge thanks is due to the hard working tree planting team who managed to plant around 350 trees yesterday!
There are still more to be planted so efforts will continue over the coming days planting a range of native trees including beech, field maple, hazel, oak and dogwood. The machinery which prepared the ground for planting have created a network of small wetland areas, these will be great for wildlife too.
Unfortunately we are still trying to arrange insurance to allow volunteer sessions so planned community planting days can’t happen as yet. Also unfortunately, our trees have arrived bare root so need to be planted as soon as possible! We are grateful to the small team from the board and committees for undertaking the task of getting the trees in the ground in time.
