Why is a Trustee tendering for work?

CCDT’s constitution does not allow for trustees to be paid for their work as a trustee however it does not prohibit them from tendering for work.

A conflict of interest procedure is in place and agreed by all trustees on joining the Board. Conflicts are noted at the top of the agenda at every board meeting. Trustees tendering for work submit tenders and are considered alongside other tenders however they are not involved in the decision making process once a conflict of interest has been declared.
